Bhajji dropped from ODI and T20 series against England

New Delhi: Harbhajan Singh has been dropped from Indian ODI and T20 squad for the series against England, while senior batsman Rahul Dravid made a surprise comeback to the team after a gap of two years.

Test specialist Dravid played his last ODI for India during the Champions Trophy in South Africa in 2009. During the tournament the veteran batsman struggled with the bat, failing to give any kind of momentum to the team during the middle overs.

New Delhi: Do Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri say on air what BCCI wants? If reports are to be believed, they are being paid Rs 3.6 crores each annually by the BCCI to voice forth the opinions of the board on different cricketing issues.

This led to suggestions that when they speak on contentious issues like UDRS or IPL, they are likely to have a biased opinion.

Indian team suffering from mental fatigue : former coach Upton

Northampton: If a team indulges in playing relentlessly, the players start suffering from "mental fatigue" and that`s exactly what has happened with the Indian players, feels former mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton.

Upton said if a player is on the conveyor belt all the time, it create situations like those experienced by the Indian cricketers during the World Cup, where they fought hard to keep their food down, while Yuvraj Singh became physically sick due to anxiety.

Australian captain Clarke excited by new uncapped players in the team

Sydney: Australian Test captain Michael Clarke on Thursday said he was excited by the new blood in his squad to face Sri Lanka this month.

Four uncapped players have been included in the 15-strong line-up for the three-Test tour, including pacemen Trent Copeland and James Pattinson, spinner Nathan Lyon and batsman Shaun Marsh.
