Batting great Sunil Gavaskar blamed poor technique for India`s dismal show in the Test series in England, saying the tourists looked like a "schoolboys team".

Praveen has been fined for arguing with umpire

Nottingham: India pacer Praveen Kumar has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during England`s first innings on the opening day of the second cricket Test at Trent Bridge.

According to an ICC statement, Praveen was found to have breached Article 2.1.3 of the Code of Conduct which relates to arguing or entering into a prolonged discussion with the umpire about his decision.

Salim Durrani supports Harbajan to do well in England Tests

Mumbai: Former India all-rounder Salim Durrani has come in support of under fire Harbhajan Singh, expressing confidence that the off-spinner would come good in the ongoing Test series against England.

"He has been a great bowler for India. There are rough patches in your career and he is going through a bad patch now. In the first Test (against England at Lord`s) he didn`t bowl well. But you never know he may run through the English team in the second innings of the second Test," Durrani said on the sidelines of a prize distribution event on Friday night.

Strauss worried about Stuart Broad’s poor form


London: England captain Andrew Strauss has admitted that Stuart Broad’s poor form is a worry for his team ahead of the first test against India.

“He (Broad) is clearly frustrated at not taking more wickets recently. If you are not performing up to the standards you are used to, it hurts,” Strauss was quoted, as saying by a leading daily.
