On a pitch with a hint of moisture underneath, Netherlands chose to bat in Chittagong in a virtual must-win game for Bangladesh. A happy Shakib Al Hasan said he would have
bowled had he won the toss as he felt the pitch would suit his bowlers.The experts reckoned the conditions will help the bowlers initially but Netherlands chose to defy that wisdom. Each team made two changes: Bangladesh replaced Raqibul Hasan with Shahriar Nafees and Naeem Islam with left-arm spinner Suhrawadi Shuvo. Netherlands brought in Atsee Buurman for Bas Zuiderant and offspinner Adeel Raja for Bradley Kruger.
